Michael Jones Chosen For the 2023 Paint It Forward With The Nevada Painting Company

LAS VEGAS, NV: It is that time of year again for the Nevada Painting Company to Paint It Forward! We are giving back to the community by donating a $5,000 painting project to a deserving Nevada community member. While we read through hundreds of nominations, we’ve selected a fantastic woman with an incredible story of kindness, perseverance, and humility. With a fresh coat of paint, the Nevada Painting Company hopes to brighten up the life for this dedicated Nevada homeowner.

Introducing Michael Jones

Michael “Mike” Jones is a loving husband, a supportive community member, and a dedicated business owner. Mike has endured a tremendous amount of loss over the past two years including his home being flooded and the loss of his wife.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the insurance company was unable to source the materials needed to have Mike’s home repaired and would not fully cover certain repairs that were needed, leaving Mike and his wife Sheila living out of hotels. Mike then became ill in 2021 and spent a lot of time in the hospital, forcing him to be away from his business, but he made sure that his employees were still paid, and doors remained open to serve the community he is part of.

Sadly, a few weeks later Mike’s home was ready to move back into after the flooding incident, but his dear wife Sheila was in a tragic accident that took her life. Due to the flooding, Mike was then left in a position to have his house painted due to the damage.

The Project

After hearing his story, Nevada Painting Company knew that Mike was deserving of the 2023 Paint It Forward Project. Mike was chosen because he lives out two of our company’s values – Choose to be positive and treat people how they want to be treated. With excitement and gratitude, this painting project was completed on Saturday, March 25, 2023!
